All Heartland SwimSpa Covers are fully tapered, 6"-2". Having a fully tapered cover encourages rain run-off. Many lower quality covers are made with a flat center foam section which will hold rain and quickly begin to sag.
All Heartland Swimspa Covers are made of four seperate foam panels. Although you might find a three panel cover elsewhere, consider that each of the three panels will have to span a larger area with far less support. A Heartland SwimSpa Cover will cover the same large area with four smaller panels. For additional support, each center panel is reinforced on BOTH sides with a metal C-channel.
Heartland SwimSpa Covers have incredible R-values. The center 6"-4" panels have an R-21 insulating factor and the outer 4"-2" panels have an R-14 insulating factor.

Covers have a "skirt" of fabric hanging down the side to cover and protect the edge of your spa (some spas that are flush to a deck may require no skirt, if so choose none or zero).

These covers come standard with 8 latching straps that are 8" long (see picture below). Both male and female parts of the latch are provided. If you prefer, you may enter your choice for a different length.

Option 1: Double Wrapped Foam Cores ($49.97)

The main defense against the cover's foam core absorbing water is the vapor barrier surrounding the foam. Double wrapping the foam cores (adding a second sealed 6 mil vapor barrier) can double the life span of a cover.

Adding the optional Reflex Energy Shield base material on bottom of your spa cover will greatly increase the covers insulating ability. The reflective ability of the Reflex Energy Shield reflects radiant heat back down to the spa.

Option 3: Reinforced Hinge ($54.97)

Additionally reinforce the hinge by adding an extra layer consisting of the same 1-1/2" wide nylon webbing the handles are made from. This upgrade consists of a strip of nylon webbing running the entire length of the hinge and provides exceptional strength!
