Moms In Hot Tubs

It is generally not advisable for pregnant women to use a hot tub.  Inside the womb, the unborn baby's body temperature is approximately 1/2 to 1 degree hotter than the mother.  Exposing the unborn baby to the high water temperatures in a hot tub, especially during the first three months of pregnancy, should be avoided.

As a safety precaution, expecting moms in hot tubs should never exceed 15 minutes in any water above 100 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 degrees Celsius.

Please consultant your physician before any hot tub use during pregnancy.
