How to measure for a Cover’s Direct Replacement Spa Cover
1. The best way to measure for a replacement spa cover is to measure your existing spa cover (that i!
s, if yo
u like the fit of your existing cover).
A. Start by measuring across the fold, then measure perpendicular to the fold. Please note the direction of the fold and make note of it when placing your order. If you would prefer your fold the other direction, just let us know when you order.
B. Please note the length of your skirt. We can make it longer or shorter if you would prefer.
C. Note any other custom features (strap location, cut outs, etc.) that you would like to see on your replacement cover.
2. If you don’t have a cover to measure from, then you must measure the outside dimensions of the spa.
A. When measuring your spa, keep in mind that it is always better to make the cover a little bigger. A spa cover that is too small will not do a proper job of sealing your hot tub. We recommend rounding up to the next whole inch (example: if the tub measures 86.5”, make it 87”).
B. The spa cover will come with a standard 2.5” flap around the edges that we call a skirt. The skirt can be customized but it should be long enough to cover the acrylic lip of your spa. The skirt should sit just over the edge of the tub.
C. Spas and hot tubs come in a variety of shapes. Choosing the correct shape will help insure that you order the proper spa cover. Determine the shape and choose the matching shape on our order form. Then enter the corresponding dimensions for your shape.
For radius (rounded) corners:
To determine the radius measurement of your cover’s corners, start by placing a carpenter’s squar!
e on the
outside corner of your hot tub. The distance between the corner of the carpenter’s square and where it touches the hot tub equals the radius of the curve.
